Night photography, nearly all of it at the Dead Sea. The Milky Way above the salt formations, star trails drawn by exposures lasting hours, and moonlight bright enough to light the salt while the lamps of Arad and Jordan burn along the horizon. At night the Dead Sea goes completely still and the water stops moving, so the sky is photographed twice — once above and once in the reflection. Some of these exposures run to two hours and more.
