Frames chosen by feeling rather than by subject. Many are close to monochrome: long shadows across stone, a figure in an open gateway against moving sky, a lit doorway inside a dark room, people reduced to silhouette. The material comes from places with nothing in common — the Dead Sea, Versailles, European cities — but all of it works the same way: very little information, a great deal of atmosphere, and room left for the viewer to finish the story.
